We recognize that parking is important to Tulane's living, learning, teaching, and research communities and are finding ways to enhance our services. Garages, surface lots, and private university streets provide parking opportunities on the downtown and uptown campuses. Surface Lot Parking Option

• Location
  • Universal Parking is the parking provider at 1540 Canal St, which is located directly across the street from the School of Medicine Murphy building. This surface lot has 3 entrance/exits: 1) Canal St, 2) S. Villere, and 3) Cleveland Avenue.
• Rates
  • The SOM offers reduced daily/monthly parking rates at the 1540 Canal surface lot. If you have questions or are interested in applying, contact Universal Parking at nolaparking@universalparking.com.

After Hours Free Parking

Free after-hours and weekend parking is available to students in the Tidewater, Hutch, and Murphy garages. Click this link for hours, terms/conditions, and registration details.
