Abstract

The Tulane Urology PIPE Scholar Program is a two-month program which provides first-generation students from an (URiM) background in medicine opportunities to participate in ongoing laboratory and clinical research projects; an introduction to methods of research; hands-on laboratory training; familiarization with the essential aspects of scientific writing; and guidance for fostering personal and professional development; career navigation; and demystifying the application steps of admission to a medical school, be it TUSOM or elsewhere.
